The COMPOCEL® AL panel finds application in countless sectors: from shipbuilding to construction, from railways to interiors, from cabins to lifts and from clean rooms to ventilated façades. Customers can customise the panel according to their needs as it is a 100% customisable product.
The COMPOCEL® AL sandwich panel is a honeycomb aluminium panel with skins and a core made entirely of aluminium. This honeycomb panel has unique mechanical properties, particularly when extreme tensile strength is needed at a reasonable cost in mild environmental conditions. This panel is available in untreated, primed, painted, or with SurTec 650 treatment. Colours are available in the various RAL colours subject to verification of quantity and timing.
The COMPOCEL® AL honeycomb panel can be edged, shaped or perforated, see machining and finishes. CEL can offer this perforated panel at the customer's request. Being a panel consisting of 95% aluminium, the reaction to fire ratings meet the reference standards for numerous applications. COMPOCEL® AL FR is the certified version of this panel.
In order to be able to offer the correct panel, it is necessary to specify any certification and conformity required.

The COMPOCEL® AL sandwich panel lends itself to numerous processes.
These precision processes are carried out using numerically controlled machines (CNC) by specialised operators.
To obtain special shapes and machining operations, a drawing in DWG or DXF format must be provided in advance.
The panel is cut flat according to the dimensions and geometries defined by the customers’ drawing. After the bending of the faces, the object is cleaned and packed.
COMPOCEL® AL panel finishes are made by our best craftsmen. For high-quality products in outdoor applications, we use polymeric paint systems such as PVDF and FEVE. Other types of paint are available on request.
CEL offers various surface treatments, some of which are resistant to high temperatures after checking with the technical department.
In order to offer a panel with a particular finish or colour without minimal pigment variations, we recommend placing an overall order at one time so that the laminators can carry out the painting of the sheets in one batch.
SURTEC 650 TREATMENT
The raw aluminum sheet can be treated with SurTec 650 in order to have a surface suitable for gluing, which meets the certifications required in the various aerospace and military sectors.
PAINTING
Aluminium panels can be painted with powder or liquid paints to suit various stylistic, aesthetic and environmental requirements. We offer specific coatings for interior and exterior use, including antibacterial or dissipating paints.
SERIGRAPHY AND PRINTING
Outstanding resolution and durability of printing thanks to the use of UV-resistant inks.
Panels can be finished with various types of edging:
The type of panel, material and application determine the most suitable fixing system.
The processes we can perform include:
COMPOCEL® AL panel machining can be performed with various types of machinery: from joinery saws to the most advanced CNC. CEL offers drilling, edge banding and riveting processes.
The panel's user manual indicates the conditions under which the material must be stored and preserved optimally. Below are some of the most important factors influencing panel storage:
Particular attention must be paid to the presence of protective films that may be difficult to remove when subjected to atmospheric agents or after prolonged storage.
The panel is easy to clean and degrease, but the use of acidic substances or abrasive components is not recommended as they could compromise its aesthetic qualities.
The COMPOCEL AL® panel is 95% recyclable as it consists of 95% aluminium, which can be melted down and reused several times.
If you wish to cover the outer sheet with different materials, these must be analysed and enquiries made to the relevant supply chains as to how they can be disposed of and recovered.
