Yachts and Shipbuilding

For those who like to sail safely: honeycomb and sandwich panels have excellent fire reactions ratings are solid and aesthetically refined.

Bulkheads and furnishings for nautical interiors are as light as possible, with exceptional mechanical strength and superior aesthetic quality. Finish and structural strength play a major role in the nautical and marine sectors. These are the characteristics to which the certified - and non-certified - honeycomb and sandwich panels that CEL Components custom manufactures respond, offering a unique range of processing and finishing possibilities.

In the nautical field, it is essential to have lightweight structures and interiors that guarantee high mechanical properties at the same time. The combination of these two properties results in improved performance and reduced consumption.
CEL Components offers countless tailor-made solutions in the nautical field with its wide range of panels.

Shipyards, designers and craftsmen use sandwich panels for numerous applications. For example in: structural bulkheads, partition bulkheads, soundproofing panels, floors for technical rooms, furniture, floorboards and supports for solar panels.
To better meet the needs of the nautical sector, CEL has decided to embark on the certification of certain panels, resulting in very high-quality products that can be used individually or combined in various nautical applications.
IMO MED (international maritime regulations) provides for various types of certification: from non-combustibility to low flame spread to C-class division.

The aluminium honeycomb has been certified non-combustible, while the sandwich panels COMPOCEL AL FR, ALUSTEP F and ALUSTEP FN have obtained IMO MED Mod. B and D certification for low flame spread. In addition, COMPOCEL AL FR obtained also C-CLASS DIVISION certification thanks to the use all MED certified composing materials.

Large cruise ships

Large cruise ships, fast ferries and hydrofoils must provide passengers with safety and comfort. To meet these requirements, we have designed certified products with high performance and ease of use, as well as extremely low weight. These products can have excellent fire ratings, such as "COMPOCEL AL FR", "ALUSTEP F" "ALUSTEP FN", or have sound-absorbing characteristics such as perforated panels.

Pleasure boating, the functional design to impress

Sandwich panels are extremely versatile and well-suited to the demands of boating. Lightness, high performance and the search for onboard comfort mean that sandwich structures are increasingly appreciated and used both in pleasure boating and in luxury yachts and mega yachts.
Moreover, we have always been committed to good practices for a lower environmental impact, and thanks to PETSTEP technology we offer a green option without sacrificing mechanical properties and lightness.
